About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Liquor Store Manager to lead our team at the Westgate Liquor Store. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leading, coaching, and motivating our team members to deliver exceptional guest service experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation and management of the liquor store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members to drive performance and achieve business objectives.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a positive approach, initiative, and a commitment to excellence.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, team members, and vendors to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the store's merchandising standards are maintained, and all programs are implemented, measured, and managed.
- Directly responsible for team member relations, including hiring, training, development, and performance management.
- Provide leadership in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) and contribute to the team's commitment to living the Corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of progressive retail management experience with a proven track record of success.
- Liquor, retail, and/or guest service background preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to manage computer files efficiently.
- Solid basic math skills and ability to read and understand financial reports.
- Effective interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills.
- Self-starter with motivation and ability to work in a busy environment.
- Valid Serving it Right Certificate required.
