Job Summary

Maritime Electric is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the planning, construction, and maintenance of engineering projects aimed at improving the reliability of our transmission and distribution system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design, installation, and integration of intelligent electronic devices, telecommunications systems, and SCADA infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Contribute to protection coordination, control, and commissioning on the transmission and distribution system.
  • Develop and implement engineering designs and construction plans for new substations or upgrades to existing substations, utilizing strong project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide technical asset support to the Technical Services maintenance team.
  • Coordinate and supervise projects, preparing project cost estimates, contract preparation, design, and implementation.
  • Participate in distribution planning and development of Maritime Electric's standards.
  • Contribute to the integration of wind and solar energy into Maritime Electric's system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and eligibility for registration with Engineers PEI.
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey plans, directives, and objectives.
  • Proficiency in standard industry design/analysis software, CAD systems, and drawing standards.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs, such as spreadsheets, word processors, and PowerPoint.
What We Offer

A competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a salary range of $70,000-$90,000 per annum.
