Executive Director

My Sea to Sky is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-profit leadership, fundraising, and partnerships, with a proven track record of growing organizations with strong community support.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all operations, including program development, staff management, financial sustainability, grant writing, and board management.
- Ensure the sound financial management of My Sea to Sky, including creating annual budgets and working closely with the bookkeeper and treasurer to maintain financial records and monitor performance.
- Develop and oversee the effective planning, implementation, management, and evaluation of our operations, campaigns, and programs.
- Represent My Sea to Sky in social media and in print, radio, and television interviews, and public speaking engagements.
- Engage with decision-makers and elected officials to advocate for our campaign and policy priorities.
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Environmental Studies, Communications, Non-Profit Management, Public Relations or a related field).
- Experience working with a policy governance board.
- Proven experience in grant writing and fundraising, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Proven success in collaborative leadership and staff & volunteer management, particularly managing a remote team.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization.
- Ongoing contract.
- Flexible hours.
- 5 weeks of paid vacation, including 2 weeks of office closure (August + December).
- 2,000 annual work-from-home allowance.
