Vogtech Renewables is seeking a skilled Industrial and Commercial Buildings Architect to join our team. As an Architect for Industrial and Commercial Buildings, you will be responsible for designing and developing plans for new construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee the coordination and integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects.
- Design and Development: Generate building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons, and conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs, and construction schedules.
- Client Consultation: Consult with clients to determine the type, style, and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients with a focus on design, construction time, price, or others.
- Construction Site Supervision: Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Documentation: Prepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction, and write plans describing project specifications and construction schedules.
- Research and Development: Perform architectural research and stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in industrial and commercial building design and development, or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Strong communication and project management skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
- Certifications: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification offered by the Canada Green Building Council.
