About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainable Building Architect to join our team at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing sustainable buildings that minimize environmental impact while meeting the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable building designs that meet or exceed industry standards for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that construction is progressing in accordance with the approved design and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to promote the Institute's mission and values.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in sustainable building design and construction.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the Institute's sustainability strategy and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainable building design and construction.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, sustainable building projects that meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to sustainable building design and construction.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
