Electrical Engineer Opportunity at Inviro Engineered Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Inviro Engineered Systems. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and institutional buildings.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing concept designs and completing load calculations, schematics, equipment selection, and system concept reports.
  2. Preparing contract documents, including specifications.
  3. Evaluating shop drawing reviews.
  4. Ensuring ASHRAE and LEED compliance where applicable.
  5. Coordinating with other disciplines both internally and externally.
  6. Engaging in meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants regarding project reports and findings.
  7. Providing expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems.
  8. Creating technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
  9. Performing calculations, creating specifications, and equipment selection.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
  • A Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) required.
  • A Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng) in Quebec preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering for industrial, commercial, and/or institutional buildings.
  • Strong knowledge in HV substations, fire alarms, lighting, emergency power generation, MV and LV distribution systems, and large electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Highly effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
