About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing electrical systems for commercial and institutional building projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications plans, including circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications.
  2. Perform system design calculations, load calculations, arc flash & fault current, lighting, and other calculations to support electrical design.
  3. Prepare electrical construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings in various sectors.
  4. Review electrical documents for conflicts with other building systems.
  5. Ensure design consistency with the overall vision and maintain design schedules, working closely with clients and other design team members.
  6. Participate in equipment selection and specification for building systems.
  7. Incorporate sustainable design methods in buildings.
  8. Report writing and specification preparation.
  9. Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.
  10. Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues.

Requirements:

  1. Baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  2. Minimum 7 years of professional experience in designing electrical systems for commercial/institutional building projects.
  3. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
  4. Previous healthcare experience highly desirable.
  5. Previous electrical design experience with an AE and/or MEP engineering consulting firm.
  6. Strong understanding of the National Electric Code and International Building Codes.
  7. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated capability for analysis and strategic thinking.
  8. EIT required, PE preferred.
