Wärtsilä Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Product Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and develop electrical circuits for BESS, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as UL508A and IEC61439-1/2.
  2. Evaluate product and system designs for compliance with relevant industry standards.
  3. Perform load flow and short circuit analysis for DC and AC circuits.
  4. Develop control solutions, including I/O table, PLC selection, and PLC logic development.
  5. Create testing specifications, plans, and interconnection requirements.
  6. Develop product documentation, including product manuals and technical descriptions.
  7. Maintain product NRTL documentation, including critical component lists.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; graduate degree preferred.
  2. 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, with a focus on designing and testing power systems and control panels.
  3. Ability to design electrical circuits for up to 1000 Volt AC and 1500 Volt DC.
  4. Experience designing and configuring BESS.
  5. Knowledge of embedded software development and industrial control philosophies.
  6. Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar schematic generation software.
