About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental at the Met. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare patients for dental examinations, ensuring they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the process.
  • Instrument Preparation: Prepare dental instruments and filling materials, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and sterility.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment, guaranteeing their optimal performance.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Take and develop X-rays, providing critical diagnostic information for our dentists.
  • Procedure Documentation: Record dental procedures performed on patients, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Impression Taking: Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts, supporting our dentists in their diagnostic and treatment planning.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a dental setting.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
