About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental at the Met. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing emotional support.
  • Prepare dental instruments and filling materials according to established protocols to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with patients and dental staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Take and develop X-rays to assist in diagnosing dental conditions and developing treatment plans.
  • Record dental procedures performed on patients to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts to aid in treatment planning and patient education.
Requirements
  • Registration with provincial or territorial authorities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a dental setting, with a focus on patient care and support.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • 30 hours per week of work, with a flexible schedule to accommodate patient needs.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
