About the Role

Haven Medical is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from routine check-ups to managing chronic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
  • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments to patients, taking into account their medical history and current health status.
  • Perform and assist in routine surgery, including minor procedures and surgeries.
  • Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
  • Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care to expectant mothers.
  • Advise patients on health care and provide education on healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities, as required.
  • Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare services.
  • Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
  • Provide emergency care and respond to urgent medical situations.
  • Supervise home care services and ensure that patients receive the necessary care and support in their homes.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to detail is essential in this role, as you will be working with patients and their medical records.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is required, as you will be moving around the clinic or hospital and performing procedures.
