About the Role

Haven Medical is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting health and wellness in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Patients: Conduct thorough medical examinations to identify diseases and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans to address patient needs.
  • Order Diagnostic Tests: Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
  • Prescribe Medications: Prescribe and administer medications and treatments to patients, taking into account their medical history and current health status.
  • Perform Surgery: Perform and assist in routine surgery, including inoculations and vaccinations to prevent and treat diseases.
  • Deliver Babies: Deliver babies and provide pre-natal and post-natal care to new mothers.
  • Advise Patients: Advise patients on health care and provide counseling and support on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
  • Report Diseases: Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Coordinate or manage primary patient care, including supervising home care services.

Requirements
  • Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: English is the primary language used in the workplace.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
