As a Contract Negotiation Expert - Aerospace, you will play a pivotal role in securing multi-million dollar agreements related to the sale of specialized private jets worldwide. Your expertise will be instrumental in drafting intricate terms and conditions that effectively balance Bombardier's risk exposure with the unique requirements of our discerning clientele.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support negotiations for complex cross-border agreements, encompassing aircraft purchase contracts, data licensing arrangements, engineering services agreements, and aircraft modification projects.
  • Provide ongoing commercial and legal support to both internal and external stakeholders throughout the aircraft delivery process, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Proactively identify potential contractual risks and collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative mitigation strategies that safeguard aircraft delivery schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with management, promptly raising any unresolved contractual concerns for timely resolution.
  • Draft and manage customer correspondence, including invoices, in strict adherence to the terms outlined in purchase agreements, ensuring prompt follow-up.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and governance activities within the department, fostering operational excellence.
Your Profile:
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to combine business acumen with risk mitigation expertise.
  • Possess a university degree in law or business; an MBA is considered advantageous.
  • Have a minimum of ten to fifteen years of experience working within a reputable law firm or a large corporation.
  • Bring a proven track record of at least ten years in negotiating commercial transactions and drafting comprehensive commercial agreements.
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and persuasion skills.
  • Demonstrate strong written communication skills in English.
  • Be adaptable and willing to work flexible hours, including extended or irregular schedules, as required by business demands.
  • Be fluent in both French and English; knowledge of additional languages is highly valued.
  • Prior experience or familiarity with the aviation and/or defense industry is an asset, as is knowledge of U.S. government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs).
