Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Personal Support Worker to join our team in the Alliston area. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.

Responsibilities
  • Provide supportive care to clients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks to clients.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfer activities.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Document client information and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in staff development and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Current certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) and Gentle Persuasion Approaches to Dementia Care (GPA) are assets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Willingness to update and keep current knowledge of changing regulations, practices, and procedures.
