About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper at Pho Hoan Pasteur (Heartland Common) Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
    • Scour pots and pans to ensure they are spotless and ready for use.
    • Package take-out food with precision and care, ensuring it meets our high standards.
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, following our recipes and guidelines.
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, maintaining a well-organized and efficient system.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, ensuring our kitchen remains clean and hygienic.
    • Sharpen kitchen knives to maintain their effectiveness and safety.
    • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • General Duties
    • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, preparing them for use in our kitchen.
    • Work collaboratively with our team to achieve our goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
    Requirements
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience in a similar role is an asset.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • English language proficiency.
    • Availability to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
