Culinary Team Member

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team at Canadian Pizza Unlimited & Shawarma. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and excellence in our kitchen.
- Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Operations Management: Assist in managing kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory control, and staff supervision.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant setting, with a focus on urban areas.
- Cultural Competency: We provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Youth Support: We provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Indigenous Support: We provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
