Customer Service Representative

Emterra Group is a leader in providing integrated recycling resource management and waste disposal solutions to the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) sectors and municipalities throughout Canada. Our approach to waste management focuses on maximizing recycling and waste diversion.

The Customer Service Representative role is a key position that provides daily administrative, technology, and audio/visual customer service support. As a primary contact person between the operation's control and its various stakeholders, this individual must be a positive reflection of the organization and its values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all divisions and manages calls to and from service providers.
  • Creates, distributes, and closes-out customer tickets daily.
  • Maintains and distributes department-related information daily.
  • Communicates with other supervisors and managers about operations and/or dispatch issues.
  • Completes and maintains various reports as directed by the department manager.
  • Uses software tools to manage tasks such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
  • Assists with data collection and reporting.
  • Assists with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary.
  • Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
  • Communicates with customers about service issues as needed.
  • Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed.
  • May enter and maintain Service Machine SMART data daily for all trucks.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School (or GED equivalent).
  • Experience with Dispatching or CRM system is an asset.
  • Experience in the waste management and recycling industry is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills (particularly in the use of MS Office).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Working well under pressure and within strict timelines in a fast-paced environment.
