Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Imaging Booking Coordinator to join our team at BC Children's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for scheduling and booking appointments for patients undergoing medical imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and book appointments for patients undergoing medical imaging procedures, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and accurate.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to confirm appointments and provide pre-examination instructions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of patient appointments, including demographic information and medical history.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient scheduling processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

  • Grade 12, two years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
