What is the opportunity?

As a pivotal member of the RBC Group Advantage team, you will engage with a diverse range of retirement savings solutions, including Group RRSPs, Deferred Profit Sharing Plans, and Pooled Retirement Pension Plans. Your role will focus on delivering tailored advice to corporate clients, ensuring their employees have access to essential financial products directly at their workplace.

Your Role

  • Cultivate and manage ongoing relationships with corporate clients, ensuring they are connected to the full spectrum of RBC's financial solutions.
  • Serve as a key advocate for Group Advantage offerings within various market sales teams.
  • Conduct annual assessments with clients to align their current programs with their evolving needs and document any necessary adjustments.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to provide clients with customized advice.
  • Develop a robust network of internal collaborators across Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management.
  • Lead community engagement initiatives to promote awareness of Group Advantage services.
  • Facilitate informational sessions for employees of corporate clients to enhance program participation.
  • Collaborate with Group Consultants to orchestrate successful program launches for clients.

What You Need to Succeed

Essential Qualifications

  • Profound understanding of Employee Benefits, Group RRSP Plans, and related documentation.
  • Exceptional sales and relationship management skills to navigate discussions with corporate clients.
  • Ability to engage with senior management within client organizations to promote and tailor Group Advantage solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations and proposals.
  • Willingness to obtain the Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) designation within 18 months of joining.
  • Availability to travel 40-50% of the time within designated regions.

Desirable Attributes

  • Confidence in leading onsite informational sessions for client employees.
  • Familiarity with group plan tools and marketing resources.
  • Insight into market trends and competitive offerings.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an advantage.
