About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Vans Group Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and designing water and waste management systems, conducting technical analyses, and ensuring construction plans meet guidelines and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Design: Develop and implement plans for water and waste management systems, taking into account topographic, soil, and hydrological data.
  • Technical Analysis and Reporting: Conduct thorough analyses of survey and field data, and prepare detailed reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Client and Team Collaboration: Work closely with clients and other team members to determine project requirements, conduct research, and develop construction specifications.
  • Construction Management: Ensure construction plans meet building codes and regulations, and establish and monitor construction work schedules.
  • Material Evaluation and Recommendation: Evaluate and recommend suitable building and construction materials for projects.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Interpret, review, and approve survey and civil design work to ensure high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field, with 3-5 years of experience in the field.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
