About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Vans Group Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning and designing water and waste management systems, conducting technical analyses of survey and field data, and preparing reports.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning and Design: Develop construction specifications and procedures, ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations, and establish and monitor construction work schedules.
- Technical Analysis and Reporting: Conduct technical analyses of survey and field data for development of topographic, soil, hydrological or other information and prepare reports.
- Client Communication and Research: Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements.
- Material Evaluation and Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials.
- Survey and Design Review: Interpret, review and approve survey and civil design work.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a project management or design role.
- Certifications and Memberships: Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work 32 hours per week.
