Role Summary

The Risk Management and Internal Controls Analyst plays a pivotal role within our Finance team, focusing on risk assessment and the enhancement of internal control mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to strengthen the organization’s internal control framework and ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive control measures.
  • Analyze the organization’s financial risks, processes, and control systems.
  • Facilitate governance of controls by assessing and refining the control framework.
  • Ensure that internal control processes and documentation are consistently updated.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual evaluations of key controls.
  • Review user access permissions for the ERP system on a monthly basis.
  • Identify access control risks and provide actionable recommendations to uphold the separation of incompatible functions.
  • Propose compensatory controls as necessary.
  • Make informed recommendations and follow up on identified control deficiencies.
  • Prepare detailed documentation regarding the outcomes of key control assessments.
  • Assist the Director of Corporate Finance in the preparation of select quarterly financial reports.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, complemented by a recognized accounting designation.
  • Proficient in Excel with advanced capabilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in both spoken and written communication.

Essential Skills:

A solid understanding of internal audit standards, the COSO framework, risk management practices, as well as accounting and financial reporting principles is crucial for success in this role.
