Position Overview:
Accoravillage is seeking a qualified Analyst, Risk and Internal Control to join its Finance division. The Analyst in this role will undertake critical responsibilities within the finance sector, focusing on risk management and internal controls. The primary aim of this position is to spearhead the organization's internal control initiatives and ensure adherence to established controls. Responsibilities will include documenting and sustaining control measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the organization's financial risks, processes, and control measures;
- Enhance control governance by reviewing and refining the control framework;
- Ensure that internal control processes and documentation are current;
- Conduct quarterly and annual assessments of key controls;
- Review access rights to the ERP system on a monthly basis;
- Identify risks associated with access controls and propose solutions to maintain the separation of conflicting functions;
- Recognize compensatory controls when necessary;
- Provide recommendations and follow up on identified control deficiencies;
- Document the outcomes of key control assessments;
- Assist the Director of Corporate Finance in preparing specific financial reports.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of internal audit standards, the COSO framework, risk management methodologies, and accounting principles;
- Bachelor's degree in accounting with a recognized accounting certification;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related accounting position;
- Resourceful and quick to learn;
- Dynamic and driven with a strong ethical foundation;
- Advanced proficiency in Excel;
- Bilingual in both spoken and written communication.
