Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our Cardiology division as we introduce groundbreaking products to the Electrophysiology (EP) market, one of the most rapidly expanding sectors in medical technology. Boston Scientific is poised for several significant product launches in the U.S. aimed at treating patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib), including Cryo, Radiofrequency, and Pulsed Field ablation therapies. Our current offerings include advanced technologies such as 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, EP recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths for diagnosing and managing heart rhythm disorders.
The Electrophysiology Mapping Expert will dedicate their initial year to mastering Boston Scientific technologies while undergoing comprehensive professional development to ensure success in this practical, field-based position. Upon completion of training, the Electrophysiology Mapping Expert will deliver expert clinical product and technical support and training to physicians, EP Lab Staff, and sales representatives regarding the effective and safe utilization of the Rhythmia Mapping System during procedures within a designated region, aiming to achieve and surpass business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain in-depth clinical knowledge of EP diagnostic and ablation technologies, EP mapping and recording systems, transeptal access technologies, and left atrial appendage occlusion technologies.
- Participate in procedures within cardiac CV/EP labs of hospital accounts to provide clinical support and development efforts for BSC AF Solutions products, including the Rhythmia HDx mapping system, LabSystem Pro recording system, transeptal access products, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters, and WATCHMAN LAAC technologies.
- Educate clients on the advantages and proper clinical application of AF Solutions products by developing and delivering presentations and demonstrations using various formats and platforms (e.g., slides, manuals).
- Engage with current and prospective clients (e.g., physicians, physician office groups at hospitals) by traveling to identify their clinical needs, objectives, and limitations related to patient care.
- Establish relationships with hospital personnel at all levels, including staff, physicians, and administrators.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding products and services by devising innovative and practical solutions.
- Exhibit effective change leadership and cultivate strategic partnerships.
- Implement and oversee strategies outlined in the quarterly action plan for the region.
- Coordinate efforts with BSC sales management and representatives to build strategic partnerships.
- Foster relationships with key referring physicians, external fellows, NEPIs, and other influential physicians to promote market development and growth.
- Train on and stay informed about clinical trial protocols and compliance with worldwide regulatory standards.
- Manage clinical trial activities within the assigned territory.
- Educate clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols, processes, and investigational products and features.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical device sales, clinical electrophysiology, or equivalent education and experience. Candidates must demonstrate technical aptitude and the ability to articulate and clarify complex technical product information.
Preferred Qualifications:
NASPE/IBHRE CEPS certification. Experience in Atrial Fibrillation/Cardiac Mapping/Structural Heart Procedures. Familiarity with 3D cardiac mapping systems. A Master’s or advanced degree in business or healthcare.
