Meat Cutter

As a Meat Cutter at Downtown Enterprise Ltd., you will play a crucial role in our grocery operations, ensuring the highest quality of meat products for our customers.
Educational Requirements- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
This position is based in a supermarket setting, where you will engage with customers and manage meat products.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and clean meats for processing and cutting.
- Execute precise cuts of carcasses, sides, and quarters.
- Trim and prepare standard cuts of meat for sale.
- Wrap and package meats efficiently.
- Remove bones from various meat products.
- Weigh and price meats for customer purchase.
- Process poultry into parts.
- Prepare and clean fish and shellfish for sale.
- Assist customers with their meat selections.
- Cut fish into steaks and fillets.
- Oversee the work of other butchers and meat cutters.
- Grind meats and create specialty sausages.
- Slice cooked meats for display.
- Design and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and seafood.
- Shape and tie roasts and other meat products.
- Handle special orders from customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fast-paced work environment requiring physical stamina.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is necessary.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting.
- Good hand-eye coordination is required.
- Dependable and accurate in work.
- Strong client focus and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Flexible and able to take initiative.
- Organized and reliable team player.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- This is a permanent position with a work schedule of 35 hours per week.
