We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Retail Meat Cutter to join our team at Oj's Halal Meat. As a Retail Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat products for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
- Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Wrap and package prepared meats
- Remove bones from meat
- Weigh meats for sale
- Cut poultry into parts
- Price meat products
- Sell meats to customers
- Grind meats
- Make special sausages
- Slice cooked meats
- Prepare special orders
- Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and hand-eye coordination
- Dependability, initiative, and judgement
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
Our butcher shop is a cold/refrigerated environment, and you will be required to stand for extended periods. We offer a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week.
The language of work is English, and we will provide training for the right candidate.
