Position Overview:
The Senior Consultant, PC&B Governance & Risk will play a pivotal role in shaping the risk management framework within the People, Culture & Brand (PC&B) division. This position is based in Toronto, ON and operates on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership in Risk Management: Collaborate with the Director of PC&B Governance & Risk Management to provide expert consultation on risk management practices. Support the People Risk Control Function as a People Risk Associate, ensuring adherence to CIBC's Operational Risk Management Programs.
- Governance Support: Assist PC&B Lines of Business (LOBs) in executing governance requirements, including Change Initiative Risk Assessments (CIRA), Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSA), and Incident Reporting. Co-chair the PC&B and Administration CIRA Committee.
- Independent Risk Challenge: Engage in the independent risk challenge process for CIRAs, RCSAs, and Incident Reports, ensuring thorough evaluation and compliance.
- Deficiency Management: Provide guidance to PC&B LOBs regarding deficiency management and internal audits, ensuring effective resolution and compliance with governance standards.
- Regulatory Program Assistance: Support the PC&B Director in addressing regulatory requests and submissions, contributing to the development of recovery and resolution plans.
