Overview

KPMG Canada is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Technology Risk Services team in Toronto. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in assessing information technology and business process risk, providing IT internal audit support, and conducting IT risk reviews. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality services to our clients and contribute to the growth and development of our practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct IT risk assessments and reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks and controls.
  • Provide IT internal audit support to ensure the effectiveness of our clients' IT controls and risk management processes.
  • Develop and implement risk and control matrices to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Monitor relevant technology risk standards and practices to ensure our clients are compliant.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to our team members on IT risk management and control.
  • Collaborate with our clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions to address their IT risk management challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, or ISO27001.
  • 2-5 years of experience in assessing information technology or business process risk, preferably in a large consulting practice.
  • Strong understanding of IT General Controls and controls-based audits.
  • Experience with implementing and evaluating data governance structures, system asset tooling, and IT projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively express insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organization and investigator skills.
