Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock levels.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
  • Customer Service and Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, stock, and customer feedback, providing valuable insights for business improvement.
  • Administrative and Financial Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate data for business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Physically demanding work, requiring the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
