We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at William Osler Health System. As a key member of our inter-professional healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient-focused nursing care to patients with less complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Practice according to the nursing practice expectations set by Osler and the regulatory standards of the College of Nurses.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide health education and discharge instructions to patients and families.
- Respond to emergency situations and consult with colleagues as needed.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Recent experience in acute medicine, preferably with geriatric patients.
- Knowledge of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and related therapies.
- Experience with patient care, including TPN, NG tubes, chest tubes, and wound care.
- Sound knowledge of the nursing process and responsibilities to the nursing profession.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an inter-professional team.
- Competitive hourly rate: $35.29 - $38.16.
