We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data integration processes and associated data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop modern data solutions using Azure PaaS services to support data visualization
  • Develop and maintain the life cycle (design, analysis, implementation, and testing) of data warehouses
  • Consume, transform, clean, and persist large amounts of data
  • Develop and lead data injection, consumption, ETL, data sanitization, and data extraction, transformation, and aggregation from multiple file formats
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure data reliability, efficiency, and quality
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in development with a solid ability to analyze, design, and build modern data solutions
  • Proficient experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Extensive experience in developing data injection, consumption, ETL, data sanitization, and developing and maintaining the life cycle (design, analysis, implementation, and testing) of data warehouses
  • Proven working knowledge and ability with Spark applications using Python, Scala, or Spark SQL in Azure Databricks for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation from multiple file formats
  • Solid working ability with SQL Server, Integration Services (SSIS), DTS Packages, SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), DAX, OLAP Cubes, Star and Snowflake schemas for database design and development
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a team of data/software engineers
  • Top-notch analytical skills and attention to detail in order to analyze and improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and documentation skills
  • Solid ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a cross-functional team environment
  • Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
