Construction Site Manager

Benchmark Building Solutions Inc is seeking a highly skilled Construction Site Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Hire and Supervise Subcontractors: Manage and supervise the activities of subcontractors, ensuring they meet our quality and safety standards.
- Plan and Prepare Construction Schedules: Develop and implement construction schedules and milestones, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Prepare Contracts and Negotiate Revisions: Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
- Establish Quality Control Policies: Develop and implement policies and procedures for quality control, ensuring our construction sites meet our high standards.
- Read Blueprints and Schemas: Interpret and understand blueprints, schemas, and drawings to ensure accurate construction.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare regular reports on project progress, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Direct Daily Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations, ensuring our construction sites run smoothly and efficiently.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Site Environment: Outdoors.
- Work Setting: Commercial and/or industrial construction.
- Supervision: 5-10 people, working groups, contractors.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Hand tools.
- Construction Specialization: Industrial, commercial, and institutional.
- Security and Safety: Reference required.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license, willing to travel.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
- Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, judgement, team player.
- 1 year to less than 2 years: Experience in a related field.
- Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes: Yes.
