Electrical Controls Engineer

MTS Recruiting is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join their team in Pickering. Our client specializes in large-scale electrical, automation, and controls projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and review technical design documentation for electrical control systems.
  2. Design and implement optimal automation solutions to meet customer needs, providing costing to project management teams.
  3. Lead and/or assist on proposal generation for key opportunities, ensuring alignment with customer expectations.
  4. Provide installation and commissioning support at client sites as required.
  5. Manage project progress, maintaining costs within budget and ensuring timely delivery.
  6. Stay current with technology trends and design instrumentation and control systems.
  7. Program and commission PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
  8. Develop SCADA solutions tailored to customer needs.
  9. Design and program systems from scratch, ensuring high-quality results.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
  2. Minimum of five years of experience as a Senior Controls Engineer or equivalent.
  3. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical to prepare drawings and electrical schematics.
  4. Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, and Mitsubishi PLCs.
  5. Experience working on projects for various industries.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  7. Extensive knowledge of electrical and electronic instrumentations.
  8. Ability to prioritize work and manage conflicts professionally to meet deadlines.
