  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate takeoffs using estimating software to ensure project feasibility.
  • Prepare comprehensive tenders by quantifying material, labor, and subcontract costs.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Purchasing during tender review and hand-off.
  • Provide timely updates to management on awarded projects, changes, and potential risks.
  • Conduct site visits to gain knowledge for quoting purposes.
  • Track bids and proposals and submit them to the Project Manager for entry.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs throughout the bid process.
  • Explore new opportunities through customer relationships.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering or an Electrical Trade License.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with estimating in the ICI Electrical and Construction space.
  • The ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code and Canadian Electrical Code.
  • A thorough understanding of the electrical construction industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Accubid.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Outstanding organization and time management skills.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a full benefits package and pension plan.
