About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Sarita Food Wholesale. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Maintain general ledgers, financial statements, and other accounting records, using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare trial balance of books.
  • Prepare tax returns, financial reports, and other statistical reports as required.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English.
