Accounting Clerk Job Description

The Gabriel Dumont Institute is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Clerk to join their team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process transactions, including vendor payments and customer receipts.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with audits and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Accounting/Business Certificate or Diploma.
  • Relevant experience and course completion will be considered.
  • Experience with the Great Plains Accounting System is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Attention to detail is a key requirement of this position.
