Under the leadership of the Vice President, Specialized Claims and Recovery Services, the Senior Director is accountable for the strategic vision, direction, and leadership of the Division, which carries significant organizational risk and influences the financial health of the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Champion the vision and core values of the organization.
- Ensure that both management and staff within the Division comprehend and embrace the vision and values, aligning all plans and activities accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Vice President to shape a unified vision for the Division, adhering to modern governance principles.
- Engage the management team in realizing that vision through the formulation and implementation of the annual business strategy and divisional objectives.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight in the management and delivery of programs and services, ensuring that necessary policies, standards, and performance expectations are established and maintained.
- Support initiatives for quality management and continuous improvement, assessing the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of services and programs.
- Work alongside the Vice President in planning the financial, physical, and human resources of the Division, including the formulation of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Ensure optimal organization, resourcing, and management of human resources within the reporting structure.
Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with extensive experience in program development and delivery.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years in progressively responsible leadership and management roles within a large, complex organization, particularly in areas related to insurance, disability management, or public sector services. Preference for candidates with public sector experience or those who have worked in large organizations with diverse stakeholder engagement.
