Job Summary

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Director to lead the delivery of small to medium-sized projects in the Kitimat, BC area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects within budget, schedule, and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Provide HSE leadership to ensure the safety of employees and contractors while protecting the environment.
  2. Project Management: Deliver project management activities, including early studies, engineering, operational readiness, construction, commissioning, and handover to operations.
  3. Budget and Schedule Management: Set and maintain project budgets and schedules to meet internal and external commitments.
  4. Engineering Service Provider Management: Engage and manage engineering service providers to ensure project objectives are met.
  5. Tender Documentation: Prepare, review, and issue tender documentation.
  6. Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Source, procure, and engage suppliers and specialized subcontractors.
  7. Project Documentation: Create and maintain project documentation in the different phases to meet Kitimat and Atlantic operations requirements.
  8. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and manage area stakeholders to ensure alignment and the best solution is selected and implemented to meet the business requirements.
  9. Investment Committee Presentations: Prepare presentations to investment committee and participate at investment meetings.
  10. Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote teamwork, excellence, and team engagement.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Support a culture of continuous improvement in project management and control.
  12. Leadership and People Management: Develop constructive relationships and collaboration with team colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  13. Issue Resolution: Address issues and concerns in a positive and constructive manner with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  14. Personal Development: Engage and progress objectives and personal development plan with the Project Delivery Coordinator.
Requirements
  1. Education: University diploma in Engineering or a Technical college degree in a relevant field.
  2. Registration: Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
  3. Experience: 15 years or more of experience in construction/industrial environment.
  4. Project Management Training: Project management training (PMP or master in project management) is a definitive asset.
  5. Commercial Acumen: Proven commercial acumen.
  6. Knowledge of Organization's Policies: Knowledge of the organization's policies and standard practices.
  7. Exposure to Client's Project Management: Exposure to the client's project management is advantageous.
  8. Eligibility to Work in Canada: Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
