Georgian College is seeking dedicated part-time instructors to teach courses in Communications. As a member of our academic faculty, you will have the chance to leverage your enthusiasm for education and extensive industry background to foster a supportive and productive learning atmosphere that empowers students to reach their highest academic aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:


• Delivering a diverse range of courses in communications

• Designing and implementing effective curriculum to fulfill course objectives

• Utilizing various instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles

• Assessing student performance and achievements

• Engaging in program, portfolio, and institutional activities as necessary

• Contributing to program development and enhancement initiatives as required

• Cultivating and sustaining a positive educational environment

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant post-secondary education in a related field, such as Journalism, Communications, or Public Relations

• Proven experience in teaching, coaching, or mentoring in communications-related subjects

• Strong knowledge and skills in literacy

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrated capacity to engage with diverse student demographics

• Experience in promoting innovation and facilitating change

• A commitment to ongoing professional development

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a strong aptitude for learning new educational technologies

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and encourage the same in students

• Experience in curriculum design, various teaching methodologies, academic advising, and strategies for student success is advantageous

• Certification in Teaching and Training Adults or experience in a teaching capacity is a plus

• Verification of educational credentials from recognized institutions or confirmation of international equivalencies will be required during the selection process.
