Medical-Legal Consultant

Job Summary:
The Medical-Legal Consultant will provide legal support to the Woodfibre LNG Project, a liquefied natural gas export facility located in British Columbia. The successful candidate will work closely with the Vice President, Legal, and be part of a small, cross-functional team that serves the diverse needs of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on regulatory matters at the federal, provincial, municipal, and First Nations levels.
- Assist with environmental and regulatory compliance, including procurement and contract negotiation.
- Develop and implement risk-balanced solutions to commercial and legal issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Prepare and review agreements, including contracts and procurement documents.
Requirements:
- Canadian law degree and current membership in the law society of British Columbia or Alberta.
- At least 7+ years' experience in commercial and natural resource related law in British Columbia or Alberta.
- Strong work ethic, exceptional drafting skills, confident stakeholder management skills, sound judgment, and a pragmatic approach to the in-house legal role.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and develop practical solutions.
