Insurance Policy Specialist

This role requires an insurance specialist to utilize their knowledge of insurance policies and markets to evaluate, recommend, and sell plans to customers based on their needs. The specialist will communicate with customers to match their needs, process paperwork, and ensure existing customer information is up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:- Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessments, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls, and process renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business.
- Ensure that all new business quotes/policies are accurately recorded on the most current new business report, including lead information.
- Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals.
- Attend product knowledge seminars as directed by the Personal Lines Manager and Business Unit.
- Promote London Drugs in the community as a place to shop and a place to work.
- Ensure quality and service levels are maintained to Company standards.
- Ensure license is maintained in good standing and all necessary continuing education credits are obtained.
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- Strong selling skills.
- Highly organized and able to multitask effectively and work under changing priorities.
- A level I, II, or III general insurance license.
- Solid understanding of home, auto, and general insurance products.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
- Attention to accuracy on all documentation.
- Able to use good judgment and reasonable care when dealing with customers, confidential information, and sensitive situations.
Employees must be available to work a flexible schedule, Monday through Sunday, at least 12 to 16 hours per week, day and evening shifts.
