Job Opportunity

Charles MacPherson Associates is seeking an experienced and skilled Housekeeper / Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of a residence in King City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas.
  • Prepare and cook meals, following recipes and ensuring high-quality dishes.
  • Manage inventory of groceries, cleaning products, and toiletries.
  • Handle laundry and occasional steaming or ironing.
  • Manage trash and recycling.
  • Perform weekly cleaning of patio furniture and pool during summer months.
  • Supervise trades and contractors as needed, in conjunction with the family's executive assistant.
  • Ensure household security protocols are followed.
  • Answer the door and receive packages.
  • Provide light pet care.
  • Assist with errands and other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation.
  • Ability to reach high spaces using a house ladder.
  • Comfortable lifting 30 pounds.
  • Excellent housekeeping, laundry, and ironing skills, with correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality, exercising diplomacy, discretion, and respecting appropriate boundaries.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Full license and reliable access to a vehicle.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, live-out position with work hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with some flexibility required to work occasional evenings or weekends with ample notice.
