About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Service Delivery team at Medavie Blue Cross. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of up to 10 experienced project managers and provide guidance and direction on performance, career advancement, succession planning, and continuous learning.
  • Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, IT services, and business partners through influential leadership, situational awareness, reactivity, and ambiguity management.
  • Develop and execute projects to optimize performance by defining objectives, providing direction, and motivating stakeholders.
  • Support daily operations and continuous growth and evolution of our Service Delivery team to advance how we execute projects as an organization.
  • Direct projects throughout their lifecycle and possess advanced skills to motivate other project managers through effective communication and high emotional intelligence.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and frameworks.
  • Expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Practical knowledge of project management tools (Microsoft Project, Visio, Office Suite, Jira, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to resolve complex problems and prioritize multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex problems for clear communication and effective resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven success in stakeholder management, risk management, and change management, working with multiple levels of leadership in a complex, matrixed project environment.
  • Deep understanding of project governance models for complex, multi-faceted projects.
  • Collaborative management style.
  • Strong business acumen and situational awareness.
  • Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry (preferable).
  • PMP certification.
Security Clearance Requirements

To assume the duties of this role, the selected individual must obtain a thorough security clearance (Level B) prior to their first day of work. The clearance process includes fingerprinting, a criminal record check, and a credit check. The individual must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and have permanent resident or citizen status.
