Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Assembly Technician to join our team at Safran Landing Systems. As an Aircraft Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling aircraft landing gear components, shock struts, actuators, and flight controls to supplied drawings and process instructions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble aircraft landing gear components, shock struts, actuators, and flight controls to supplied drawings and process instructions.
  • Identify proper and improper fits, alignments, and condition of components.
  • Read blueprints and hydraulic schemes to identify and explain the function of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and experience/exposure to lean manufacturing.
  • Identify non-conformances when assembling landing gear.
  • Basic personal tool kit required.
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License or five years related experience an asset.
  • Ability to use hand and machine tools.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to work shifts when required.
  • Proven ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Canadian government security clearances and applicable contractual obligations.
