Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Landing Gear Technician to join our team at Safran Landing Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assembling, disassembling, and inspecting aircraft landing gear components, shock struts, actuators, and flight controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble aircraft landing gear components, shock struts, actuators, and flight controls according to supplied drawings and process instructions.
  • Identify proper and improper fits, alignments, and conditions of components.
  • Perform other related duties as required, including repairing and assembling aircraft landing gear components, shock struts, actuators, and flight controls.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and hydraulic schemes to identify and explain the function of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
  • Apply problem-solving skills and experience in lean manufacturing to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
  • Identify non-conformances when assembling landing gear and take corrective action.
  • Meet the minimum requirements of a Graduate from Aircraft Maintenance College or Licensed AME or five years related experience in a relevant field.
  • Use hand and machine tools to perform tasks.
  • Identify corrosion and other abnormalities found in supplied parts.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management through strong written and verbal skills.
  • Basic computer skills are an asset.
