As a Construction Project Coordinator, reporting to the Construction Director, you will oversee and synchronize all phases of a construction initiative. This includes collaboration with Health and Safety, meticulous planning, quality assurance, budget management, client relations, and teamwork with subcontractors.

    Ability to adapt to high-pressure environments and variable weather conditions (construction site).

What you will do to achieve success in this role:

  • Act as the company representative on-site;
  • Plan project tasks, organize the master schedule, conduct work estimates, manage contracts, control expenses, oversee the project, and lead the project team;
  • Foster positive relationships with the community, clients, vendors, and project teams.

    Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with the project team to coordinate tasks;
  • Develop work methodologies in partnership with the Site Manager and Superintendents;
  • Negotiate and approve the selection of primary contractors in conjunction with upper management;
  • Manage procurement processes;
  • Organize and lead construction site meetings as necessary;
  • Participate in client meetings and disseminate essential information for seamless operations at the site;
  • Conduct internal meetings to effectively share relevant information and coordinate resources, including subcontractors;
  • Hold the authority to halt any activities deemed non-compliant by Pomerleau, Inc. personnel.

    Project Follow-Up
  • Conduct technical follow-ups, including technical data sheets and inspections;
  • Monitor change notices—estimations, client bids, negotiations, issuance of orders and/or contracts;
  • Follow up on payments with the accounts payable and receivable departments;
  • Authorize payments to subcontractors and suppliers;
  • Oversee guarantee follow-ups;
  • Coordinate preliminary inspections of work with superintendents;
  • Manage preoperational verifications alongside superintendents;
  • Deliver the project in collaboration with the superintendent and secure final acceptance from the client;
  • Report performance indicators to Senior Management.
