We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our care team at Applefest Lodge. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food service to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met, and contributing to a warm and welcoming dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation, review menus, and identify tasks required for the same day and the next day. Peel potatoes, bake, and prepare sandwiches for the following day.
  • Food/Meal Service: Check listings for mains and alternates, plate food according to each resident's needs, and ensure special dietary requests are considered. Pre-pour beverages prior to each meal service and assist with clearing plates and processing used dishware.
  • Kitchen/Dining Room Maintenance/Hygiene: Ensure kitchen equipment and surfaces are cleaned after each meal service, wipe down surfaces, sweep, and mop floors, and clean and reset dining room tables.
  • Storage and Inventory: Maintain storage in the walk-in refrigerator, refill cream and butter containers, and prepare breakfast cereals for the next breakfast.
  • Additional Tasks: Assist with tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager, such as sweeping and mopping floors, peeling potatoes, and wiping down dining room tables.
