About the Job

Avenue Building Corporation is seeking a skilled Carpenter Form Specialist to join our team. As a Carpenter Form Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Supervise other workers
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Work setting: Construction, various locations
  • Work language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
