About this role: We are seeking a skilled Form Carpenter to join our team at Alliance Forming Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for preparing layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Your duties will also include measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

  • Work site environment: You will work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy conditions, in dusty environments, and outdoors.
  • Work setting: Our Form Carpenter will work on construction sites, at various locations, including high-rise building construction sites.
  • Tasks: Key responsibilities include building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, erecting walls and roof systems, erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Financial benefits: As per collective agreement, our Form Carpenter will work 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term and English as the work language.

What we are looking for: A skilled and experienced Form Carpenter with a strong background in wood construction and building layout. You must be able to work safely at heights and in confined spaces, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
