Job Title: Event Planner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team at Alberta Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing various events, including conferences, weddings, and corporate functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers as needed.
  • Determine requirements for hospitality services, signage, multi-media equipment, printing, and other technical services, and arrange for and manage contracts for these services.
  • Coordinate media services, including audio-visual equipment and technical support.
  • Coordinate set-ups, staging, seating, parking, communication systems, and other details for special events.
  • Set up and monitor, or arrange for the setting up and monitoring of multi-media equipment.
  • Plan and arrange for trade shows and exhibits.
  • Plan schedules, goals, and objectives for events.
  • Plan for social events and guest programs.
  • Manage Event Logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and catering.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in event planning or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:

The Event Planner will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The Event Planner will work 30 to 40 hours per week.
